Notice of preparation of Draft Development Contributions Scheme 2026-2030

Section 48 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended)

 

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 48 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended), that Kilkenny County Council has prepared a Draft Development Contribution Scheme for the period 2026-2030.

Copies of the Draft Development Contribution Scheme will be available for public inspection at the following locations during office hours for a period of 6 weeks from Friday 6th of February 2026 at:

  • Planning Dept., Kilkenny County Council, County Hall, John St., Kilkenny City from 9am to 1pm & 2pm to 4pm Monday to Friday (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays). To make an appointment please contact: 056 7794010 or email: planning@kilkennycoco.ie
  • Municipal District of Piltown Area Office, Ferrybank Shopping Centre, Ferrybank, Waterford X91 DE42

 

In addition, the Draft Development Contribution Scheme will be available for inspection online at consult.kilkenny.ie

Making a Submission or Observation

Written submissions or observations regarding the Draft Development Contributions Scheme 2026-2030 may be made in one of three ways:

  1. Online via Council's Public Consultation Portal at https://consult.kilkenny.ie/en
  2. Via Email with Draft Development Contributions Scheme in the subject line to planning@kilkennycoco.ie
  3. In writing (marked “Draft Development Contributions Scheme 2026-2030”) to the Planning Section, Kilkenny County Council, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny, R95 A39T; 

Submissions or observations must be made in writing no later than Monday 23rd March. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Please note that all submissions will be made available for public viewing on Kilkenny County Council’s consultation website during the consultation period. Kilkenny County Council will treat all personal data provided as confidential. We will retain your data for no longer than is necessary for the purpose of this plan and in accordance with Kilkenny County Council’s Retention Policy and the relevant Data Protection legislation.
