Kilkenny City Parking Control Bye Laws 2025

Municipal District of Kilkenny City

Kilkenny County Council and the Mayor and Members of Kilkenny City Municipal District in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by Sections 4(2) and 36 of the Road Traffic Act 1994, (No 7 of 1994), propose to replace the Kilkenny Borough Council Parking Control Bye-Laws 2012 with draft bye-laws, which will be known as the Kilkenny City Municipal District Parking Control Bye-Laws 2025, if approved.

A copy of the draft Bye-Laws is available for inspection from the 27th August 2025 to the 24th September 2025 (both days inclusive):

  • by appointment between the hours of 9.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday, at Kilkenny City Municipal District offices, Patrick’s Court, Patrick Street, Kilkenny;
  • on the Council’s website, https://kilkennycoco.ie and
  • on the website https://consult.kilkenny.ie

Submissions in relation to the draft Bye-Laws may be:

Submissions should be clearly marked “Kilkenny City Municipal District Parking Control Bye Laws 2025” and received before 4pm on Friday 10th October 2025.  Please note late submissions will not be accepted.

Please note that all submissions will be made available for public viewing on Kilkenny County Council’s consultation website during the consultation period. Kilkenny County Council will treat all personal data provided as confidential. We will retain your data for no longer than is necessary for the purpose of this plan and in accordance with Kilkenny County Council’s Retention Policy and the relevant Data Protection legislation.
