Mullinavat Connectivity Loop Walk Municipal District of Piltown
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act, 1994 as amended by the Public Transport Regulation Act, 2009 (Section 46), Kilkenny County Council gives notice of its intention to carry out works in Mullinavat, Co. Kilkenny consisting of the following:
Construction of new footpath link along Mill Rd to complete pedestrian link to both the entrance of the community centre via raised boardwalk and to Mullinavat GAA Club.
Implementation of “give and take” system across Blackwater Bridge to facilitate construction of footpath across bridge to provide safe passage for pedestrians.
2 Nr. new pedestrian crossing facilities at the LP1042 (Mullinavat GAA complex) and the LP1037 (Hugginstown Rd junction with Mill Rd).
Modifications to the priority of the existing Hugginstown/Mill Rd junction.
Upgrade and relocation of signage and roadmarkings
Full public lighting along the extent of the scheme
Together with all associated ancillary works
The proposals are available from Friday 5th of June, 2026:
At the Municipal District Office of Piltown, Ferrybank Shopping Centre, Ferrybank, Waterford from 9.30 to 16.30pm.
At the Mullinavat Community Centre from 9.00 to 17.00
Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and development of the area in which the development will be carried out may be:
Submissions should be clearly marked “Mullinavat Connectivity Scheme” and received before 4pm on Friday 26th June 2026. Please note late submissions will not be accepted.
