No discussion about biodiversity is complete without acknowledging the effects of 5G radiation of every living being on this planet. All around Kilkenny, there is an ever growing number of 5G mobile masts popping up in populated areas– hotels, recreation centres, sports clubs, businesses, residential areas. Many of the newer masts masquerade as street lighting but, are also emitting very high levels of pulsed microwave radiation to the unsuspecting population. These structures are by no means inert or benign but a serious long term health risk to every living organism including ourselves. A quick measurement with a basic meter will indicate that the levels of radiation in that location are on the order of tens of thousands of times the baseline level. Kilkenny has one of the highest levels of man-made radiation in Ireland. Is that a proud statistic?

This form of radiation was first identified as being a type 2B carcinogen as far back as 2011 long before 5G. Initially, symptoms of chronic exposure will be non-specific – severe headaches, fibromyalgia, nosebleeds, insomnia, fatigue which for some people can lead to electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) now classed a disability in several European countries. Over time, this known carcinogen will give rise to ever increasing inflammation, increased oxidative stress, damage to blood brain barrier, DNA damage to cells leading to cancer causing genetic mutations. Just like smoking, asbestos or sun exposure, many of these impacts evolve over time. Because of the enormous surge in the use of devices powered by electromagnetic radiation over the past 10 or 20 years, we are only beginning to see the impacts. The risk includes birth defects, miscarriages, childhood leukaemia, cancers, Alzheimer’s disease and possibly autism. Impacts are not confined to humans but also every living being on this planet. Unfortunately, to date this form of man-made environmental pollution and its impacts are overlooked by many. There is a growing body of evidence of the dangers to every living being on the planet, both born and unborn, children being particularly susceptible. The telecoms industry has adopted the playbook of the tobacco industry sixty years ago who despite doctors and scientists protesting that smoking caused cancer, paid off authorities and regulators to disregard this information. Millions of people died and are still dying a horrible death from lung cancer. In the case of 5G technology, in 2017, a group of 180 eminent scientists and doctors from 36 countries issued an appeal for a moratorium on 5G because of what I have described. Interestingly there was no doctor or scientist from Ireland on that list. Current guidelines from the ICNIRP (used by the EPA) are based on dated science prepared by a cartel of self referencing panel members with well documented conflicts of interest.

I am all for technology but safe technology please. We cannot continue to ignore the health and environmental effects of wireless technology.

The bottom line is there is

NOT one single study indicating that 5G man-made radiation is safe

but there are many indicating the harmful effects.
