Kilkenny County Council gives notice of its intention to carry out bus stop improvement works in the Callan/Thomastown Municipal District at the following Bus Stops:
Thomastown, Market St: Upgrade of existing stop to include provision of hardstanding, wide tactile kerbing, bus stop cage, new bus stop pole with timetable and route information and additional drainage. The proposed bus shelter has been removed as the shelter has been deemed to be inappropriately located in front of two protected structures in the Architectural Conservation Area and there are no suitable, alternative locations on Market Street.
Thomastown, Low St: Upgrade of existing stop to include provision of hardstanding, wide tactile kerbing, bus stop cage, new bus stop pole with timetable and route information and additional drainage.
Callan, Green St (Northbound): Upgrade of existing stop to include provision of hardstanding, wide tactile kerbing, bus stop cage, bus stop pole with timetable and route information and additional drainage.
Callan, Green St (Southbound): Upgrade of existing stop to include provision of hardstanding, wide tactile kerbing, bus stop cage, 3-bay bus shelter with timetable and route information.

All submissions will be made available for public viewing on Kilkenny County Council’s consultation website. Kilkenny County Council will treat all personal data provided as confidential. The latest time and date for receipt of comments on the above scheme is 4pm on Friday the 4th of September.
