Submission on Draft Ballyragget Masterplan

On viewing the Ballyragget Draft Masterplan, I feel that traffic calming measures should be introduced as part of this plan on all approach roads in particular the R432, a speed limit is in place on this road on approach to Ballyragget however this speed limit is not adhered to and vehicles approach Moate Street way too fast. This is a residential area and also has the Green Area which is used by a lot of children. The masterplan identifies further development of the Green Area thereby attracting more pedestrians to that area which will necessitate the need for traffic calming measures. The R432 is also the road to the Graveyard to which a lot of people walk on a daily basis. The speed at which vehicles travel make this walk extremely dangerous.
