SITE INVESTIGATION WORKS AT TINNAHINCH, CO. CARLOW AND GRAIGUENAMANAGH AND PRIEST’S VALLEY, CO. KILKENNY

Notice is hereby given under Section 177AE (4) (a) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) and the requirements of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended), that Kilkenny County Council intend to make an application for approval to An Bord Pleanála to carry out the proposed development which involves the undertaking of exploratory holes to ascertain ground conditions and utility services.

A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been prepared in respect of the proposed development.

The Board, in relation to this application for approval under section 177AE of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended), may give approval to the application for development with or without conditions or may refuse the application for development.

The Natura Impact Statement, along with plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection free of charge at the following offices:

between the hours of 9.00am to 4.00pm on Mondays to Fridays (excluding bank holidays) during the period from Monday the 30th July 2021 to Tuesday the 10th September 2021 (inclusive of both dates).


A copy of the Natura Impact Statement is available for viewing on www.consult.kilkenny.ie or may be purchased at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy, from the offices of Kilkenny County Council, County Hall, John Street, Kilkenny.

Submissions and observations relating to:
i. the implications of the proposed development for proper planning and sustainable development in the area concerned,
ii. the likely effects on the environment of the proposed development, and
iii. the likely significant effects of the proposed development on a European site, if carried out. may be made in writing to An Bord Pleanála, 64 Marlborough Street, Dublin1

between Monday the 30th July 2021 to Tuesday the 10th September 2021 (inclusive of both dates) There is no fee for submissions from the public to the Board in relation to this proposed development.
