Proposed Variation 6 to Kilkenny City and Environs Development Plan 2014
Proposed Variation No.6 to the Kilkenny City & Environs Development Plan
In accordance with Section 13(3) of the Planning & Development Acts 2000-2018, notice is hereby given that Kilkenny County Council is proposing a Variation to the Kilkenny City & Environs Development Plan 2014-2020.
Variation No. 6 to the Kilkenny City and Environs Development Plan proposes:
To change the zoning on a site of 0.39ha (0.97acres) adjacent to the Parc na Gowan housing estate in Smithland South, Kilkenny City from Community Facilities to Phase 1 Residential.
The reason for the proposed variation is to deliver social housing units in Kilkenny City on under-utilised, serviced lands within existing communities, in line with the Government’s policy outlined in Rebuilding Ireland.
