I have been living in Ballygriffin my entire life. It is virtually impossible to even walk out our gate with the speed of traffic on the road. Approx 2 years ago, the county council lowered the speed limit to 80kmh at the Quarry roundabout in Grannagh, to the last house in Ballygriffin . Sadly there has been little or no change to the speed on the road. There are almost 40 homes on that stretch of road, a restaurant and factory and a very large industrial estate. People DO NOT pay attention to the speed limit, largely because it is not visible, two very small signs in overgrown ditch on the road side.
Not only this, but once again I urge you to reconsider and move thr 80kmh speed limit, beyond Ballygriffin to new Aglish, as one again There is a very large factory and more residential homes at the turn from new aglish, yet there are vehicles rounding a bend 100kmh, with lorries converging on to it. There are small accidents almost dayon this and there have been many large accidents. Please do SOMETHING to help us.
