First of all it's great that Paulstown is being given this opportunity for a consultation and the hope that some of the main issues can be addressed.
One of the main issues I saw is that the map they use for Paulstown is only the village itself not the entire area. This gives a shortfall on not only the population but also perhaps the potential for other areas to be developed.
It would be great to see a central point for Paulstown that does not revolve around sport as I think this puts people with no involvement at a disadvantage. It would be lovely to see an area where all ages and abilities can get something from.
Parking is a huge issue around Paulstown - from the school to the church to the graveyard to the local shop.
Another issue is the footpath at the school is very narrow and with no edge the trucks come right up against it and when you have children this is a frightening situation. A similar issue is the unfinished footpath at the opposite end where if you have buggies and kids on bikes it's difficult as you are in essence walking on the road.
We have such an amazing community it would be great to follow up with another consultation that will cover more in debt issues that can realistically be done. Some of the proposals, yes in a world where money and legislation is not issue but in these times it would be better to achieve what is achievable rather than dreaming of what ifs.
