Blueway
Dear Planning, and Dear Caitriona O’Sullivan,
I wish to make the following submission to this Plan:
Unfortunately, I have a technical problem when trying to register on your website, so I am making it in this email.
There should be a Blueway between Graig and St.Mullins.
This should take the form of a hard surface path along the route of the existing towpath. If possible, this should be wide enough to accommodate both a cycling path and a walking path. If both together are too expensive, there should be a walking path where pedestrians always get priority.
At present, it is hard for elderly people and invalids to walk along this path. A hard surface would attract thousands of extra visitors to Graig and Tinnahinch.
I have been walking regularly in this area since the early 80s and I have never seen a wheelchair being used on this stretch of riverbank . I think that is a shame, and should be rectified.
My wife Frances owns, and was reared in Murray’s Bar , Graiguenamanagh.
Kind Regards, Denis Logan,
