3.1 Street Cleaning
An intensive street cleaning schedule exists for Kilkenny City and municipal district areas covering Castlecomer, Callan, Piltown & Thomastown. In 2016, the street cleaning (road sweepers operations) accounted for 80% of total litter control expenditure.
New sweepers for Callan, Castlecomer, Graiguenamanagh & Thomastown arrived in 2016 following a procurement process run in conjunction with the Office of Government Procurement. |
